This was the first opportunity that all staff of the HLF had been brought together for some time. It was vital, therefore, that this event should be a 'conversation' where everyone's voice was heard and were able to help determine the way forward for the organisation. Taking place over two days at the National Museum Cardiff and City Hall Cardiff, day one comprised a plenary session that closed with a live performance in Welsh from folk artist Danielle Lewis, with a gala dinner with a aerial performance by No Fit State. Day two centred around Heritage Café, an interactive workshop where staff decided what the HLF values should be and how they could be brought to life. Using their mobile devices through the online interactive system Slido attendees were able to ask questions at any time before and during the event and participate in live polls to vote on the values and help determine future strategy. Traditional work boards and post-it walls were also utilised the gather the thoughts of everyone in the room in timed workshop sessions.
