In it's biggest research study ever, HLF commissioned research company BritainThinks to undertake surveys and workshops across 12 locations in Britain to find out what people now think about heritage and the local projects HLF has supported. They heard from over 4,000 people and the research revealed that UK’s heritage helps make us happier about where we live, and plays a vital role in shaping and improving quality of life across the UK. Hunter Gatherer attended the workshops in Armagh, Bradford, Glasgow, Pontypool, Portsmouth and Shrewsbury to cover the workshops and, through interviews with the participants, discover just what heritage means to people across the nation.
