Dynamic Collections – Craven Museum, Skipton

In 2018, the Heritage Fund awarded £1.5million to the Stories and Treasures of Street and Dale project at Craven Museum & Gallery in Skipton, North Yorkshire. This investment helped the museum to make its collections more accessible, enable local people to contribute directly to the displays and interpretation and improve the visitor experience – a great example of a collecting organisation inspired by the national Lottery Heritage Fund's Dynamic Collections campaign.

We spent a day at the museum to capture the essence of the space and collection as well as hear from members of the museum staff to capture their insights and hear how they engaged with the community to bring the vision of the museum to life.
